Chen Tai-Sang was born in 1962. He graduated from Western Painting Group, Department of Fine Arts of National Taiwan University of Arts in 1983 and École Nationale Supérieure d‘Arts de Paris-Cergy in 1993. In 1995, he studied in the Department of Plastic Arts of Université Paris VIII toward a Bachler degree, and École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales toward a master degree.
For now, Chen Tai-Sang is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of the Department of Commercial Design in Chung Yuan Christian University, and also teaches in the Department of New Media Art of Taipei National University of the Arts and Department of Arts and Design of National Taipei University of Education.
He specializes in the history of photography and theory, history of contemporary western art and aesthetic criticism. His articles can be seen in various Taiwanese arts magazines, like Artitude, ARTouch, and Artist.
