Wu, ChiYu was born in 1986. He lives and works in Taipei. Wu is a member of Fuxinghen Studio since 2009. They cooperated Squid 5The King of Seafood will be Back Fighting (2009) at VT Art salon, and participated in POST.OThe Reverse of TOPOS (2009) at MOCA Taipei Plaza and Forum Biennial (2010) at Taipei Contemporary Arts Center. As an artist, His selected recent exhibitions include TransPlex (2010) at Tokyo Wander Site Hongo, Videonale: Dialogue in Contemporary Video Art (2011) at National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts and Crush on EMU(2012) at MOCA Taipei. He set up a solo exhibition: Flies 8 : The Ten Thousand Beings (2011) at VT Art salon. And also cocurated Post Office (2012) at Pingpong Art Space.

Wu, ChiYu’s works is base on one specific place and mainly focus on there living environments.In the video and video installation the urban legends and rumors of a newlydeveloped town were collected and reedited.Wu wants to discover the neglected part and the buried memories.Through providing them more connections to the surrounding environment, they might findanother way to live on.
