Shu-Chen Chen was born in Pingtung, Taiwan, in 1965. She entered the MFA program of National Taiwan University of Arts as the top candidate through the recommendation-selection program. Presently Shu-Chen works as a teaching assistant in the Fine Arts department. Her works involve photography, and the combination of different media, exploring the heterogeneous spaces including "After" 2010-2015, "Shoot" 2010-2013, and "Proposal to the Public Artwork in Southern Taiwan Science Park " 2014. She earned several national photography and multi-media awards. She was invited to exhibit her works in the 5th Singapore International Photography Festival, Suwon International Photo Festival, F/28 The Chiang Mai Month of Photography, and Photonic Moments 2016 at Slovenia. She is the founder of U-Design Corp and currently works as a multi-media artist. She lives and works in New Taipei City, Taiwan.
