Performance Art

The art activist Tang Huang-Chen has won the 4th Taishin Visual Art Awards, the most important and competitive award organized by non-governmental institutions, with the solo exhibition ”I Go Traveling V/ A Postcard with Scenery (part 2- Taiwan)“. In 2007, her artworks were invited to the 52nd Venice Biennial Taiwan Pavilion. Throughout her 20-year career as an artist, she has continuously documented her artistic pursuit through events of performance art projects. Among more than 50 projects she has published, the award-winning one “I Go Traveling” takes 15 years for completion from ”I Go Traveling I / Journey“ to Beijing in 1999 to ”I Go Traveling X/ An Epitaph—Finale“ in 2013.
