She got her BFA of Radio and Television from National Chengchi University, Taipei, Taiwan in 2009 and her MFA of Photography, Video and Related Media from School of Visual Arts, New York. Now based in New York.

Yintzu’s work tend to focus on her critical views of what she sees from daily life objects. It could be small as someone’s hair and big as the languages from cultures. While visualizing these topics into her photos \ videos, she usually try to create a theatrical- like of look to express thought. She likes deconstruct how objects “suppose” to be looked like from people’s mind and then juxtaposed with an uncanny, weird feeling when she sets up the tone for every new project.

Growing
For me, when it comes to human body, hair is the similar part of the natural world. Just like grass or vines continually to grow and spread. But, as long as the vines and weeds grow in the area where is occupied by human , we always never hesitate to get rid of it. Yet, when human hold their intelligence constantly destroy nature, the land, how does it have the ability to protect itself? I want to use the video work to discuss the relationship with human beings and the nature.

APHASIA
As a Taiwanese, this piece, consist of video portraits of Taiwanese women from four different historic periods of the last 130 years. I do this in order to bring focus on thecultural identity crisis and the continuous aphasia of people in Taiwan. This videos portray four Taiwanese women who each speak different language: amixed Hakka and plains aborigine housewife in the 1880s; a student living under Japanese rule in the 1940s; a young widow who lives in the military dependents' villag ...
