This is a three-channel video installation, the center piece is a documentary of the Pingtung Wanchin Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and the Catholic Dominican Monastery (a place for retreat where one discards all worldly enjoyments and dedicates oneself entirely to the Lord, relying solely on manual labor to sustain life, ever in eternal prayer and never to return to the secular world until one’s physical death.) A mechanical snail installation in continuous movement, devouring a prophecy from a dream. The device moves continuously in the narrative, consuming power as it goes. When the power runs out, the landscape of the narrative still exists but the mechanical snail will stop.
