He opens a number of courses, including sculpture, environment and style, installation art, public art, and multidirectional space studies. Apart from nourishing countless young artists, Chen has been showing great interests and spending much effort in creation, urban aesthetics, and genius loci. This has thus urged him to spend much energy on art, space, environment, and urban reengineering and contribute his specialties to local development. He has been the director of the Kaohsiung Pier-2 Art Center Project to promote the establishment and development of the Pier-2 Art Center. He has also been the convener of artists for the Urban Spotlight Arcade in Kaohsiung to expedite the birth of the Kaohsiung International Steel & Iron Sculpture Festival and the Kaohsiung International Container Arts Festival. His works have been permanently collected or displayed at worldwide, such as the Taipei Fine Arts Museum, National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts, and Block Park in Kingston City, New York. His public art works are often seen across Taiwan.
