Every time when I am inside an elevator, I always feel dizzy, suffocated, anxious, and insecure. Sharing the small box with strangers makes it even more awkward. However, for the lazy modern people, an elevator is a smart invention which makes our lives more convenient, saving us the trouble of stairs climbing. It carries strangers from one place to another like a magic box. The work is installed inside the whole elevator, including the simple patterns on the wallpaper such as intertwined arrows or gazing eyes painted as concentric circles, sharp metal cones on the ceiling, and the blurry reflection on the floor. When people get into the enclosed space where time stops, no matter they know each other or not, they breathe in the same air for several seconds and feel their heartbeats in the interactive space.
