Dansuie River is the most important river in Northern Taiwan. However, throughout the process of urbanization, we have gradually forgotten its history and ignored the drastic change of the river’s ecology. Even when we are reconstructing the landscape of the riverside, we still pay no attention to what river means to our life and civilization. It is merely a place for relaxation and recreation… In the work, we follow the tributaries of Dansuie River, including Dansuie River, Keelung River, Xindian River, and Dahan River which connect Community Universities of New Taipei City and Taipei City, Taipei National University of the Arts, National Chengchi University, Shih Hsin University, and National Taiwan University of Arts as well as environmental organizations such as the Homemakers Union and Foundation, the Society of Wilderness, and the Taiwan Land Ethics Association. Every day, for four consecutive days, we chose one river branch for river trekking. After that, we held a river-trekking conversation at ITPARK in Taipei.
