From the artist himself (designer, consumer), Tan observed losing control, addiction and anxiety which occurs after the invention of artifacts that were made to solve problems. More, he also examined the absurdity hidden in a bigger picture: users may have become the slave of objects. “Illness” means the incongruous mental states because of the artifacts.

Tan made up an organization “Kei Bo Guan – Life and Medical Science Business” and created four art work and videos in sarcastic as well as self-mocking tone. Via medical devices and videos, Tan tried to remind audience these distorted symptoms and encouraged them to reflect on themselves.
