Dreamlover project is inspired by Ho Ming-Kuei’s newly wed dream. In her dream, she sensed that she just registered as married and lived with her husband’s whole family in an old apartment. Although it is plain and empty in the apartment, she felt warmly accepted by the family. She didn’t see her husband at all, however woke up with satisfaction and happiness. In this collaborative project, Ho invited artist Juan Yung-Han to play as her dream husband. They spent half year to post sweetly fall in love photos on their facebook wall so that audiences were convinced that it was happening. Later on, they even took wedding photo and held a wedding party at the apartment space that Ho rebuilt based on her dream. During the project duration, they hosted two dinner gatherings with audience and served by Ho and Juan’s family teams to present as the happy cooking of family time as if in her dream. Juan began the project as the dream husband, however he also took this fictional role to question about marriage. From his previous dream project, he used predicted dreams to kill husband in order to free the repression made by the society of masculinist. In Dreamlover project, Juan twisted the negative attempt into positive act and prepared a manual for husbands to secure their happy marriage by dreaming the right dreams.

This is a collaborative project with artist Juan Yung-Han.
