We feel strange and alienated about an event simply because the event does not directly occur to us. We experience it by seeing the video/image. The mediated reality is smooth and pure. The daily space has been deprived of any “event” and falls into the world of speechlessness. We cannot give a trustworthy description and we do not know how to argue or respond. The “place” is a vague idea. The image which repeats the same mistake has some amnesia, so that it can only approach the emotionless reality through the emotionless perception. I replace the corn as signifier with the signified of speechlessness. It seems absurd and senseless, but it is to reassure the social reality or even to emphasize the pathologically emotionless perception.
