In collaboration with Eileen Song
One night, we found seven notebooks about art history on a street in Amsterdam, the author is named Willem. Facing the unrecognizable figures and letters, we tried to search the owner of the notebooks, Willem, and tried to imagine what stories and memories these notes might have. It is a story to be recorded; a story to be abandoned.
In the process of translating these notes, we invited 6 people who could read Dutch to describe the owner of notebooks according to their imagination and experiences having read one of the notebooks. We prepared pencils with 10 different figures on the top and asked the participants to select one figure which might fit their imagination of the notebook's owner, to process the performative writing.
