It is a surface covered with vivid colors, and on it are many concrete nails and holes that once had nails in them that have been placed there by someone for reasons unknown. There is also an emergency light, emergency exit signal, faucet (with water still running), circuit box, electrical outlet, amplifier, traces of where a sink used to be, etc…
I tried to stay there for a little while longer and wondered around, hoping to discover something. Perhaps because of my confused expression or the fact that I was pacing back and forth, my fellow classmates kept asking me if I needed help (to paint the wall white, remove the nails, fill in the holes, etc…). I thought about it and smiled but declined. I told them this is the kind of wall I want, and I do not wish to remove anything from it, and furthermore, the details are the creative mediums that I will use; however, heaven knowns, I had no clue how to go about treating that wall!
I then started sketching to record down the details, which would be helpful should I later decide to repaint it or remove anything. I proceeded to catalogue things that were visible, with the light accounted for, the outlet, faucet, circuit box, and the rest all recorded down. I then realized that there were too many nails and holes to count them all, and I decided to label them directly on the wall with chalk:
T => Nails
T‵ => Holes made by nails
L‵ => Screws
U => U-shaped fixtures
The next day I came prepared with a tape measure and tracing paper, and began to measure the length, width, height of each object, and how far are they from the ground. I then began to make sketches on location after the information was gathered.
