The work was finished on the beach along Pingtung County coast after the 88 Flood.

After the 88 Flood, the way people treated driftwood has changed. We clearly knew that the disaster claimed incalculable lives. Even though, typhoons are still important to Taiwan as they bring abundant rain for the island every year. The disaster happened not only because of the uncertain pattern of the typhoon’s movement, but also had a lot to do with the global climate change.

Due to the climate effect, every corner around the world has faced numerous ecological changes and transformations. I gazed at the ocean which seemed tranquil on surface, listening to the sound of the waves and then collected the remnant driftwood, trying to feel and converse with it.
