Music is very personal and arbitrary. What listeners feel may go beyond what the creators intend to express. For me, every work means a status, an atmosphere to be accumulated and a feeling to be exploded. I can conduct every strange experiment on sound in any way I like it. For examples, I can record the sound of morning for 100 days, or hide the microphone in the sewers. Every concept represents a status instead of an artistic attempt to be vernally explained. Many sound artists live a life of logical thinking. They look relaxed, but they are thinking all the time, allowing the thoughts softly push the brain. Sound has the most direct access to the brain. We all feel that at certain moment. The feeling has to be transformed by the brain. In the third chapter “A Discussion on Anti-holistic-theorization of Wave,” I try to offer an intensive analysis and explain that my imagination of sound is the counter-attack of my self-reflection. It is the enclosed breath to be exhaled toward the surrounding world I am paying attention to. It is also why I am not comfortable with performing sound art on stage. The moment of revealing in front of the public can no longer capture the enclosed breath.
