According to a 1999 Taipei City phone book published by the telecommunication bureau, there are 30 people named Cheng-Hsiung Wu. The artist convinced 12 of them to participate in this project. If there are not enough people, he searched in other cities until there are 12 participants (including the artist, there will be a total of 13 people). These 13 Cheng-Hsiung Wus are photographed from the waist up, in the format similar to official government portraits. The photographs are enlarged to 20 by 30 inches, framed, then hung in the second floor exhibition space of Shin Leh Yuan Art Space (in its previous location at Liaoning Street). In the style of a small memorial museum, each portrait includes an acrylic plaque below that reads Mr. Cheng-Hsiung Wu. The artist also asked each Cheng-Hsiung Wu to provide various personal objects, living necessities, and furnitures, etc., and decorated the third floor exhibition space into a living space. Everything in this space belongs to Cheng-Hsiung Wu, but comes from different Cheng-Hsiung Wus. On the opening day, the artist invited each Cheng-Hsiung Wu to attend and host the opening (including Cheng-Hsiung Wus who did not agree to participate in the project). This project, through mimicking the format of a memorial museum, uses a humorous way to bring up the issue of identification of people with the same names and also mixes in the startling and confusing nature of perception; the method is simple, but it touches on the issue of "name" and "appearance" in daily life and how it involves philosophy and aesthetics.
