Photography is a form of “seeing.” When looking at the world, different photographers, because of dissimilar backgrounds and ways of thinking, react differently or are attracted to different extents to a scenery, object or event. It is their level of attraction and their reaction that decides what they photograph. There was a deliberate simplification of the subject matters in “Seeing and Construction” series. Brief moments of “vacuum” were captured from the complexity and perplexity of real life and our environment and a conversation between the visual, soul and environment entered into. These pieces are pure visual interactions of things symbolic of my surroundings that tell of certain difficulties I face in my life-a combination of the symbolic and the visual and an emotional release.
