What is the essential soul of a natural image?

When image keeps improving its skill of deception, does human perception evolve with it? Where is the limit, or is there any, when our perception to identify the real and the fake is trying to equalize itself with the technique of deception? The first victims of image deception are retinas, while now joined by human perception which cannot easily be statisticized or unified. However, when we pass the limit, how should we deal with the so-called “reality“? In the long-term art project 1/8 sec, every two years I process the same photo with the most updated 3D technique (or any artificial technique) then, transforming the single photograph (with a shutter speed of 1/8 second) into a ten-minute animation to search for the soul of the so-called natural image.
