I shot this work in the store-room of an artificial flower shop, which I came across while looking for a flat. The shop was next to some betelnut stalls and a car wash, both of which contrasted strongly with the tender light and lines of the beautiful flowers in the shop.

The picture looks both illusive and real at the same time. A human figure without sexual characteristics is placed among the blossoming and colourful flowers, lost in thought or simply with a blank expression, and surrounded by butterflies flying in the room. As if the rigid body is unable to shake off the sense of being helplessly self-comforting, reflecting the current mood and emotion of mine, that waiting for me in the future seems to be endless expectation and uncertainty. Looking at life and space from a different angle seems to have become another exit other than indulging in self pity and being cynical.
