I am applying a light of humor on the lively religious scenes in Taiwan, allowing us to look into the grand topic of faith within the wild temple fairs. Taiwan Temple Fair takes the form of an open-air theater, and so the audience, actors, religious rituals, and the lives of ordinary people are intermingled, casual and unrestrained, forming a free, bustling scene of temple fairs. On-site, with life and faith mixed together, I attempt to display the strong personal will of Taiwan temple culture, and a natural, ascetic attitude of Taiwanese temples.
