Though we’ve never met in the daily life, historical figures bumped into my mind occasionally. As a memento, I added them into my contact list, and let them give me a call in the darkroom-thus I compare the images flashing in my head to the incoming calls in an unilluminated room.

Furthermore, with photographic process I put my iPhone into the enlarger and let the incoming call display exposed on the FB BW photo paper. After chemical processes the physical images were created as records of our psychological encounters. I scanned these documents, inverted them and digitally print out the positive images as visual reconstructions of the flashes.

The whole process reflects contemporary communication style and also represents my thoughts to History. I think that “Globalization” might also reveals its trace in that I even want to communicate with those who had different cultures and lived in other lands. So I gather these “contacts” as my contemporary experiments to the world.
