In this project, I took pictures of wooden inhabitation both in Taiwan and the States. Taiwan just like most of the Pacific-Asia countries was colonized culturally by the States. Open their arms and embrace those caucasian fantasy. Taiwanese consider American style of living as an idea model. We, Taiwanese, tried to mimic American life style by building wooden structure on the slope and named this as “Dream come true”. I try to reveal the nuance of this phenomenon and how this affects our ways of looking.
