Wu Chien-Yi, born in 1987 in Taichung, Taiwan and graduated from the Graduate Institute of Plastic Arts, Tainan National University of the Arts. I focuses on daily phenomena and culture, and the relationship between thinking icons and their interfaces and codes, and organizes contemporary adhesive tapes to form visual images with a special vocabulary. The series of works called “Mini Store" explores the codes of the network consumer culture. "The Poem of Grilles" displays the folk aesthetics of Taiwan's black window grills. Recently, I has developed products with strong regional characteristics through creating in both domestic and overseas villages, and installation art created on site.

In 2016, she was selected by the Ministry of Culture as an artist of the Art Taipei “2016 Made in Taiwan - Newcomer Recommend Artist” and participated in the Taipei Fine Art 2011, and Taiwan Biennial 2012 and 2016. In 2016, she was invited to the Shanghai Life Hub @ Jinqiao to produce the "Mini Store 020". In 2017 and 2019, I was invited to the FB AIR PROGRAM of Taiwan to present the scenery unique to Taiwan as an installation with shared memories.
