Meaning Is Thin
1997
Life itself is a big ruin. It's lacking in aesthetics, thin with meaning, weak with consciousness, dull and unremarkable. If Dadaists was exploding culture, then I am attempting to find signs of life in the rubble and ruins left by the cultural explosion; attempting to open my eyes widely, amidst the weakness, to see the world; to glean a sliver of nutrient from the ruin; to search for a piece of dazzling wreckage in the dullness. The plastic bag only presents its utility and meaning when it' ...

Three Hot Sauna Bed
The neoliberalism global economy impacts local agriculture, produce importers with large capital dominates with brainwashing advertisements, large quantities of western produce seize the palate of the new generation and replace traditional local agricultural goods. Worried About None
The word "none" (which directly translates to "bag") is symbolized by a plastic bag, thus, the literal meaning of Worried About None refers to sheltering oneself inside a plastic bag. It's a metaphor for the act of hiding inside some sort of safe but also closed-off environment, unable to turn over and avoiding any form of breakthrough. It refers to a form of real environment where one truly lives complacently within, where one is attached and reluctant to leave or unable to escape. A seeming ...

Saint Everything
2008-2010
Walter Benjamin discusses how modern art, because of mass-reproduction and kitsch, has lost its aura. But in this materialist modern life, full of grandeur and desire, people have already experienced the illusion, misperception, and hallucination caused by overexcitement, overwork, indulgence, and delusion, which creates a "flash of aura" similar to the phenomenon of terminal lucidity. This always makes people feel as if they've suddenly saw something and understood something. In the contempo ...
