I shot this work in the store-room of an artificial flower shop, which I came across while looking for a flat. The shop was next to some betelnut stalls and a car wash, both of which contrasted strongly with the tender light and lines of the beautiful flowers in the shop. The picture looks both illusive and real at the same time. Mimicry
Mimicry and camouflage are adaptations that species use as protection from predators. Animals use colors and markings to look like another species in order to reduce the probability to be hunted by their natural enemy. I used digital manipulated images to express the behavior of mimicry as to reflect on the mutual relations of humans, the environment and environmental impact on people through mimicry behavior.
