LIAO, Hsiao-wei was born in 1990 in Taoyuan, received a B.Arch. degree from Shih Chien University. Live in a modern nuclear family; however, country life in her hometown,constantly summoned her to video exploration of family story. Her experimental film was compounded of the style of documentary film and fiction film, trying to figure out the history of her family and explore their common emotion, lost in the gap of generation. Her first experimental film, Desolation Trio, was exhibited in Taipei and Taichung, Taiwan; Wuhan, China, received the 13th Taishin Arts Award Nomination, 2014.
