Spodoptera Litura was an experimental symbiotic mechanism developed in collaboration with the Department of Entomology at the National Chung Hsing University. The artist stayed in a greenhouse for two nights and three days where plants were grown and leaf worms (Spodoptera litura) were cultivated. The artist fed on the larvae for protein and collected his urine to water the plants through an irrigation system, thereby creating a small ecosystem. During his time in the greenhouse, the artist also created art and experimented with the possibilities of living a low carbon-emission life.
