The cramped and twitched muscles reflect an abnormal facial expression of intense irritation. For a moment, and just for a moment, this face no longer belongs to oneself but the stage of times. The work “Portrait under Electric Shock” represents the collective state of the society, namely tingling with numbness. The electric currents run through the face, irritating every muscle and nerve fiber. The wrinkled and distorted face vividly reflects the current twitched and cramped situation of the contemporary world.
