On the white sandy beach of Haikou Village on the border between the mountain and the sea. The strong downhill wind is a special weather phenomenon caused by the terrain here. The plants and natural landscape here adapt and generate its special shapes due to long-term strong winds and the shape of the sand dunes will change by the circulation of the four seasons. Therefore, in the early days it was called "Little Sahara Desert", but now the desert landscape is gone. Because of this special geographical background change, I named the work "The Dream Land of Wind", and uses natural sculptures to respond to the unique weather phenomenon of downhill wind and the romantic natural landscape of the Haikou Village in the past.
The work is made of bamboo and shapes build based on the wind's direction and located on the beach that has been hit by the downhill wind for a long time. It is a long natural sculpture in strings shape as the wind and waves. The sculptures uplifted like marine creatures on the sand respond to the past dune landscape, and also symbolize the habitat space of marine and terrestrial creatures. As the downhill wind blows every day, the accumulated sand gradually integrates the work into the natural landscape, presenting the constantly changing and slowly forming process scenery of the sand dunes, and also forming a dynamic sculpture that changes with the natural energy. Through the work and the strong natural energy here, with the sound of the waves, we enter the desert illusion in memory and the dreamland in imagination.
