The idea came from the earliest document which mentioned about Taiwan – “Make salt from the fierce sea water and make wines from sugarcane syrup”, which is extracted from Daoyi Zhilüe (A Brief Account of Island Barbarians), 1349 by Chinese voyager, WANG, Da-Yuan.
As a response to the first historical document which noted Taiwan, in this project I decided to use sugarcane juice to ferment some alcohol drink, and beer is my favorite.
