Venue: Tai Nan Cultural Center.

This work was made for “Voyage 1998 Art Festival of Taiwan” organized by Dimension Endowment of Art. The exhibition space was slanted in irregular angle where artist friend Yang Chih Fu and I dressed in inflatable costumes and role-played Yin and Yang. Standing at both ends of a round Taichi table, we used elongated ping pong rackets to hit the fertilized-egg-like balloon to each other indicating the tension of the relationships. Before the game of ping pong, Nan Kuan musicians were invited to perform their music at the site. Their performance and music were recorded and subsequently played together with the Yin and Yang performance on the TV installation in loop during the exhibition.
