In this series of works, the most important is the expression of personal observations and feelings about the life and society. This series of works had been started in 2004, but after a while the process of creation had stopped for about ten years. After ten years, the creation continues on, and although the time gap is quite long, there is no weird feeling to restart this series, since Taiwan’s society has not changed much during this period of time, and as earlier there are still many problems. People’s lives have not become better either, and there are even more social phenomenon, news and incidents than before. Space-time notion seems to be at a standstill. Many social phenomena became more transparent, but also enlarged at the same time.

If we depict a not-so-beautiful reality in a humorous way, and we use appealing and high saturation colors, thus creating a fairy tale-like picture, perhaps it will help us to break free of insignificance.

In fact, possibly we do not even need to determine what is behind the painting, because what we see is a reflection of the reality we store up in our hearts. The reflection consists of beautiful and highly saturated color surface, and interestingly exaggerated shapes of human beings that seem to be comedians or clowns. These people are from different places, therefore, their stories differ. This is the interesting part about these works. This time artist’s creative intention is no longer significant, because what we see is a beautiful fairy tale.
