This work is kind of private, like a whisper to myself. Since the accident in 2008 – a lumbar spine fracture which almost caused me half-paralyzed, I have been through a difficult period of injury, operation, physical therapy, and recovery. I was greatly thankful for being able to stand and move with my both feet again, so I became interested in creating a series of works about “walking.” Also, since I was a kid till now, I have always had this habit – not that I can control it – to follow certain rules when I move my feet around the patterns, lines, or textiles of the floor and to keep the two feet equaled and perfectly balanced. The balance brings comfort to my mind and I find peace and relaxation in it. The habit shows how I immerse myself in a world with a perfect balance between right and wrong. It is my stand, a “right-or-wrong” without the universal values of “right and wrong.”
