On the street in the city, we might see people responding to each other, vendors interacting with customers, lovers walking out of a café and passionately discussing something, and mothers taking a walk with their kids. It is our everyday life, with nothing surprising but full of emotions. It will be documented objectively and edited into a street corner of a 3D model of New York City. The purpose of the project is to physically experience the historical and cultural reality of a particular space which has been shaped by the passing of time. Through smell, temperature, humidity, and our travel, we memorize a place and keep the memory inside our bodies. Unlike how Google Earth offers us an on-line journey to experience the geographical landscape of a space, the world of the 3D model is constructed on the basis of multiple digital images and information from Google Earth. It is surprising that we can still hold on to the human emotions we are born with while using the digitalized interface such as Google Earth.
