The project “SHOW ME THE MONEY” is about ‘’consumption’’.
“Consumption” is not only about money, but also about power. “Pay to play” is the key phrase of this project. By re-constructing mechanical toys, I plunged myself (my body) into the creations. Works in this project invite the audience to pay and play. Meanwhile, the object to be “paid and played” is I. As soon as “I” am paid, the process will start and “I” will meekly let you "play on me". If possible, I hope to satiate my viewers' internal needs, such as vanity, domination, etc.
This is how my life goes on and the way society is ruled. In the face of the colossal mechanism, my resistance of it is always reluctant. However, when I irresistibly adapt myself to it, I find that some things can be so amazing. Just show me the money…
