Artist Statement: There is an altar-like square platform, and its center is a pool of black oil. When viewers walk onto the platform, the sensor installation will be activated and the black oil will slowly rise up. Meanwhile, the blue bulb under the oil surface will slowly light up. When the oil rises to the highest level and the blue bulb is fully on, the oil start to descend and the blue bulb is slowly dimmed until the oil returns to the original level and the blue bulb is off. The process repeats until viewers leave the platform.
