In 2004, I moved from Taipei to the rural countryside Toufen, Miaoli County. The studio is surrounded by farmland. At 8 o'clock every morning, I entered the studio to work. Before entering the studio, I saw that there are a lot of people working in the field. In the evening, when I was leaving the studio, heading home, I saw neighbors finishing the fields work, and carrying a hoe going home.
At that moment, I deeply realized that I am also a farmer who. Only that my arable land is smaller than theirs. Mine are small canvas, papers, or grid.
