The artist’s own perspective and thoughts on men reflect the state of manhood at different times and in different environments. This piece emphasizes the importance of using the self as the main part of a sculpture. The artist wants to show the ubiquity of men and erase their over-detailed, unique individual qualities. The result asks the audience to treat the piece with empathy, like an empty body that is waiting to be occupied.
