For the past years, my works continuously presented the anxiety in contemporary people. In this solo exhibition in a gallery, I treated the B02 exhibition space as my inner world; the exhibited works present an inner trajectory. The art gallery symbolizes the structure that society and culture refers to. The works then explore how a person faces two structures: the public space and the inner world. I want to present the human condition of embarrassment, which results from an attempt to shut off of the outside world to seek escape in one's familiar world, forgetting that the exit to this predicament is at the entrance of the predicament all along. In the exhibition, the bed that's impossible to sleep on and the window-like drawings resemble scenes of nightmares; the mirror on the wall with its semblance to a door points out the illusion of an exit; the sounds of children playing permeates the space, coming from a cage tied to balloons. As the balloons deflate, we also realize that the illusion of happiness, undoubtedly, comes from a sort of shackle.
