Using techniques borrowed from flower arrangement, I trimmed and arranged these branches scavenged from a construction site. Giving them a new form, I tried to show off their outlines and arranged them in a row, like sentences written with calligraphy.
Like the idea of “spirit of momentum” in calligraphy, this newly arranged whole becomes a kind of image, so that when the branches turn, the image transforms. The new way of observation thus created is called “Abandoned Lot Project.”
