I decided to keep a journal with my newly-brought video camera.
For the whole year, I’d carried it everywhere I went.
The work consists of 365 clips, which summarize every day of my 26th year.
Some of them are only several seconds, while some of them last minutes.
Either way, they collect all the :extraordinary and boring moments of my life – the mundane, the overwhelming, the relaxing, the self-assuring, the people who come and go, the friends, the strangers, the triviality, :the traces, and the noticed gesture.
Sometimes I just picked up the moments when they are there, while sometimes I paid extra attention to them.
Every clip of the journal is like a lead.
Viewers can click the date to see what they want to see, just like they are reading a novel and trying to piece together the world where the female character lives.
Her name is Hsin-yi, so am I.
