A suspended glass vessel contains two eyeballs, staring at Bruegel's Les Aveugles. This link all the elements in this exhibition space and refers to the biblical revelation "If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit." However, interpreting the textual meaning via this revelation inevitably traps viewers in the cognitive obstruction (Jñeyāvaraṇa) set up by the artist. Thus, the act of interpreting becomes a screen for the interpreter to self-observe. However, misinterpretation or the inability to understand are both productively meaningful: they represent interest, a separation from routine, allowing for observation and thought from a new perspective; through this, the artist is also liberated. The significance of spectacle allows the artist to achieve redemption instead of serving as a shackle. For this piece, there shouldn't be a correct way to interpret-this isn't releasing the spectator from interpretation, but rather releasing art from itself.
