This series of works was inspired by the discovery of some broken glass sheets. I sanded their violent edges by hand and UV printed them with different types of units. These glasses, from the pure material, gradually gained a new function as standard models of measuring the others, although they always look "out of standard", "really dangerous/violent”, and “suspicious". The outcome of this work also seems to be a monologue from the glass itself: "Shall I be only myself (a piece of glass)? Or shall I be a functional object?" This perpetual monologue has been haunting me since I picked, broke (accidentally and deliberately), sanded, named, transported, displayed, and stored each piece. The dynamic of this cry can be applied to other topics such as that of mapping, defining, and cutting the land—with as much potential violence as shattered glass.
