Diving here is used as an act to step in an environment or as a representative posture of switch between different environments. One enters speedily from one space to the other when diving. The skill lies in the complex movements performed before entering water as well as the least impact to the water surface so that the slightest splash is created. The whole procedure is interpreted as the posture of humans when they intervene the environment.
In some works of this series, the approach of landslides, as a means to reflect on the relation between men and nature, refers to the spirit of the nature-man unity which Chinese literati pursued in Chinese ink wash paintings. Landslides are thus turned into ink wash landscape paintings.
