The series of work is inspired by the images of artificial life-releasing ponds commonly seen in parks or temples. These life-releasing ponds are similar in forms as they all mimic the fake mountain landscape of Chinese courtyard and demonstrate an ideal scenery in miniature. I even associate the ball pool in children’s amusement parks with some works. These men-made landscapes are in different degree simulations to nature. The faker such simulations are, the truer they point to nature in our life.
