The “After” project has continued for more than four years. It focuses on the interior spaces of the theme motels in Taiwan, and its state after being usedand the heterogeneity within. This body of work aims to represent and rethink on these phenomena instead of ridiculing or criticizing them. Geographically, most of the motels are located in northern Taiwan. This project will gradually expand and evolve into an island-wide project. In all, this project aims to explore these heterogeneous spaces in socio-cultural context, its complex relations to users and the modern life in Taiwan.
