When a character meet with difficulties, who will cross-cast in story. Shanbo (梁山伯) and Zhu Yingtai (祝英台) is a Chinese legend of a tragic love story. Zhu Yingtai met the predicament of love. My parents also meet the Survival Crisis. I celebrate a deuterogamy of wedding about my parents. My project deals with my struggle between my dream about art, recognition from my family, and the expectation from the society.

The experience of Typhoon Morakot, dad being unemployed, and mom’s endeavor to start a business make the impulse in my mind to accomplish this project, whose theme is “Family”. When my mother asked me to try a suit, I finally realize that this suit is the same suit my dad wore in his wedding. Seeing this suit becomes more meaningful through the old wedding photo, in which my parents stand before the old house, I got the idea of wedding photography/masquerade photography.

“My Parents” is a project starting in 2010. The camera use in this project is a film camera, Nikon FM3 with normal lens, which is put in the warehouse since I graduated from senior high school. More than a gift from my parents, this camera is a proof that my parents once support me to create. I want to make this support lasts longer, so most of the photography in “My Parents” are taken by this camera.
