Coming Before Your Eyes - The End of “Images.”
Photography always brings out “different” natures. Even for a relatively simple picture or idea, “time” becomes the index for these possible “differences.” At particular moments, “images” are extremely abstract materials. “Reality” only stays for a brief moment, or just passes beyond one’s eyes. Before and after, the nothingness of the rest is but a multitude of things. The “image” before one’s eyes is like the C-5 area marked on an old travel map. Now, however, it is just the “reality” seen through scenes on a screen.
Facing these “realities”, an observation of another scene begins. Looking at the sea in the screen, one has already lost
the clearly marked location. However, during the time for the “waves”, all the things scattered across the sea gradually depart from the “possibilities” of our established projections. All of this is like coming to a “digital” desert. The clearest thing is that most obscure “past”. Ironically, if you still trust these “photos”, these images become a part of eternity.
