This series is inspired from the long-term residency I did in Zouying. After shooting the photo album “A Houses of Self-Burned,” a work about big amount of internal structures of buildings in military village, I started to look for the identification relationship of artists/participants and this place. I used “selfie” as a way of intervention and practice to this ruin that is about to be torn down. I left the images that proved I was here at this place I once did long term field research. With the trauma and political force this land had suffered, the work created a post-historical landscape, a romantic chapter for this ruin.
